Queensland Meditation Group (QMG) was founded in 2018 with aim of supporting those who are seeking inner peace through Buddha's teaching. Our objectives are focused on deepening the roots of Theravada Buddhism in Australia, creating spaces of spiritual refuge and guiding out community towards greater wisdom, compassion and peace.

Promote Buddhist cultural values and meditation programs and offer spiritual guidance for everyday wellbeing as well as those who are victims of various incidents.

Facilitate Lord Buddha's' teachings through trained and highly qualified, ordained monks who are members of Theravada Mahasanga, who have dedicated to a holy life.

Conducting guided meditation programs and charitable work by providing counselling according to traditional Buddhist teachings to the community and guide them to become valuable members of the Australian community.

To promote the study and observance of Buddhism according to Theravada Buddhism for religious and educational purposes and help the community to be in contact with the principles of the Lord Buddha's teachings and cultivate the main elements of Buddha's path for relaxation and improve mental wellbeing.

Offer Theravada way of spiritual development engage in social, cultural, religious work of a devotional nature and enhance mental wellbeing through Samatha (concentration) and Vipassana (insight) meditation based on traditional Buddhist teachings.

The Tripitaka, also known as the Pali Canon, is the foundational scripture of Theravada Buddhism and holds immense significance in Sri Lankan Buddhist tradition. It is a vast collection of teachings attributed to the Buddha and is divided into three main sections, each serving a distinct purpose in guiding practitioners on the path to enlightenment.
