Temporary Ordination of Monks
Individuals are ordained as monks for a limited period of time. This temporary ordination allows individuals to experience monastic life, engage in meditation, and follow the monastic precepts without committing to permanent ordination.

This practice is common in many Buddhist traditions and offers laypeople the opportunity to deepen their spiritual practice, contribute to their community, and gain insight into monastic life. After the temporary ordination period, individuals may return to lay life or choose to pursue permanent ordination. The Queensland Meditation Group (QMG) provides support for such experiences.
