Bodhi Poojawa

"Bodhi Poojawa" refers to a ritual or offering made to the Bodhi tree, which is highly revered in Buddhism. The Bodhi tree is the tree under which Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. In Buddhist tradition, the Bodhi tree is a symbol of enlightenment, spiritual awakening, and the path to Nirvana.

Bodhi Poojawa involves;

  • Offering flowers, incense, and lamps

  • Chanting and reciting Buddhist scriptures or suttas

  • Circumambulating the tree in a meditative state
